Y’know, Historical-Me has Pretty Good Taste in Music…

Thanks to my wife’s recent Hell-bent crusade to organize our CDs, I just discovered a CD I burnt back in college, and re-discovered a band that I once loved.

The band is Pig, but it’s really just one guy, Raymond Watts. Along the same lines as Nine Inch Nails, although a lot more melodic and richer. Like more recent Nine Inch Nails and unlike a lot of other rock/industrial bands, Pig’s music tends to have a lot of variety to it, with the song building up, changing melody, etc. — most songs flow more like a broadway musical collage number than industrial rock.

Here are two very different samplings of Pig’s music.
Pig – Angel
Pig – Hello Hooray

I gotta find these albums again.

Sounds a little like Matt Johnson’s The The.
