Just a brief note to say that I’ve installed a plugin to this blog that redirects blog posts to a canonical version: the major win here is that legacy links to this blog (like ones in old posts) will now work again. If you’re suddenly picking up 301 redirects in funny places, that’s why. Let me know if it bugs you or causes problems (esp. with the RSS feeds).
Also, I’m going to be taking a bit of a hiatus from blog writing. You may get another few mini-posts from me as we move forward (along the lines of Return on Investment and How Should I Burn My Free Time?, but the lengthier posts that people seem to love (like the current #1 and #2 posts on the blog) aren’t going to be around much. Instead, I’m going to be writing articles for a couple of technical websites and for GroovyMag and JSMag. As those come out, I’ll let you know here.
The one thing that is in the works for this blog (and this blog solely) is a series of posts on my experience writing Cornerstone. Although I was originally going to do one big blog post when a major milestone is reached, I’m considering journaling my open source work in general: just a paragraph or two on what went down with a project whenever I do something. Would people be interested in reading that?
Also, I’ve got a really exciting project in the works. Actually, I’ve got a few. But one that I’m really, really excited about. Unfortunately, I still can’t tell you about it. Sorry. I really, really wish I could. Because it’s cool. Melt your face, too-much-rock-for-one-hand (mm/) cool. But nothing I can talk about right now. Wish I could.
Finally, Alicia/GraphicKarma and I have decided to get involved in planning BarCampRDU 2009. So that should be fun.
