Okay, so my “Agile Development with Functional Programming Languages” session got dumped because I’m too busy to write the code I need. Besides which, it’d probably go better as a blog post.
But Ben Edwards asked if I’d be interested in doing an Agile development panel, and I’ve decided to go with that. I’m going to do a panel on the rough spots of Agile development — testing/bugs, design/ui, ‘technical stories’, and that kind of jazz. The goal is to help people adopt Agile into the real world: beyond just writing stories, tests, and code.
Andy Tinkham, Scott Vlamnick, and Gretchen Enger have all agreed to be on the panel, which is awesome because they all bring an interesting perspectives to the topic. I’m trying to draft up a few other people, so if you’d like to help wear down the rough corners of Agile development in business and you’re going to be at Minnebar, let me know.

I was going to do a session Functional Programming Languages and Agile Development, but I’ve decided against it. The deviated septum surgery and subsequent drugs has totally screwed up my ability to think, so I can’t pull things together…and the next couple of weeks are really busy for my two gigs. So I just won’t have time. Sucky.
I’ll show up and hang out, though.

Blogalogue: Is Our Pain God’s Problem?
Bart Ehrman and NT Wright are probably two of the most accessible, insightful, and respected scholars in the field of Christian studies. And they’re taking on the biggest issue in Christianity — the problem of evil.
Bart Ehrman is an agnostic, and his writings betray a pretty clear disdain for at least the contemporary Christian tradition, if not the entire Christian endeavor. But he’s still an incredible scholar, with a heavy amount of work done in the early Christian church.
N.T. Wright is the Bishop of Durham (UK, not NC), and is probably the most influential theologian within the Christian fold right now. His writings have brought a lot of fresh interest and conversation into the field, and a large number of people (including Ann Rice) trace their return to Christianity back to one of his books.
So should be an interesting conversation.

Hanging out in the hospital after some post deviated septum surgery. Catching up on some podcasts, because I hate on TV (most of the time), and I decided to try out Wil Wheaton’s Radio Free Burrito. It’s actually pretty awesome. Check it out.
Also, I’m deeply amused that Wil Wheaton’s apparently got a motto of “Don’t Be a Dick”. I suppose that’s where you end up after years of fielding alt.wesley.crusher.die.die.die hate mail. I actually sent him an e-mail asking if it was from my post on how to be happy, but it seems like not.
