Oh, and the "Chia" thing -- that came out of the brilliant mind of high school juniors: don't expect it to make sense.

Since mid- to late- college, I've been using the alias "Candide". That comes from Voltaire's Candide, and is mainly a way to remind myself not to take myself too seriously.

I use Thunderbird's built-in RSS support. It reminds me of my old newsgroup days, and I like reading blogs at the same time I'm sitting down to read e-mail.

Well, that and my C++ flaming.

For those of you who are new, there are two main writers on this blog- myself and Robert "Chia" Fischer (who once did tell me how he got the nickname "Chia", but it made no sense at the time and I've since forgotten it). Chia's the secret master of the universe, er, Mason, and I'm the bomb-throwing radical.

New articles get added whenever Chia or I have something to say, not on any regular basis. I'd recommend getting an RSS feed aggregator (I use liferea myself). These wonderful gifts given to us by a wise god allow you to follow hundreds of infrequently updated blogs (such as this one) without the tedium of having to constantly recheck blogs that haven't changed in long periods of time.
