Other people <a HREF="http://darksyde.dailykos.com/storyonly/2006/1/31/22212/5158" rel="nofollow">beat me to it</a>.

Although, to be brutally honest, of all the sins of the Republicans, even just of all the sins of Norm Coleman, this has to rank in the least. It's tasteless and childish and stupid, but who does it really hurt?

There is a trend towards the criminalization of politics (spearheaded, I point out, by the Republicans), a trend to blow up every single minor little thing into a "scandal". If you can't show me actual people being hurt by this, I'm inclined to just ignore it.
